Gibraltar is in the southern edge of the Iberian Peninsula, to the east of the Algeciras Bay and adjoined to La Línea de la Concepción (Cádiz). It has more than 29750 habitants in only 7 km². In ancient times it was known like Calpe Mountain, one of the mythical Hercules columns.
Its weather is subtropical-Mediterranean, with hot and wet summers and soft and rainy winters. The average annual temperature is 21 °C during the day and 15 °C during the night. All the seasons are good for visit it.
Gibraltar is famous because its monkeys, Gibraltar monkeys. It is believed that they were introducing here by Arabic from the north of Africa and it is the only wild primate in Europe. They don’t have any restriction and they can go everywhere they want but they prefer living in the natural protected area of the Rock. Legend has it that the day that the monkeys go away from The Rock, the British people will do the same, so the local government care of them.
There is a ferry that goes daily to Tangier and an international airport that join Gibraltar with London, Manchester, Madrid and Barcelona. If you travel by car don’t worry, here you can drive by the right because the common border with Spain.

- Main Street, where there are a lot of shops. Here you can buy computing and photographic things, jeweler…and English products in Marks&Spencer.
- Casemates Square, a big square with a lot of British bars where you can eat the typical food: fish and chips. You have to take a photo in the red phone boot, total British.
- John Mackintosh Square, where there is the town hall, the King’s Chapel and the Courts where John Lennon and Yoko Ono got married.
- The Rock, Nature Reserve. You can go here by car, bus, taxy, walking or by the cable car. You have to visit the Great Siege Tunnels and St. Michael’s Cave.
